Lending Policy April, 2022
Melbourne & District Dances with Dogs Club aims to support all members in their efforts to compete and enjoy Dances with Dogs and Trick Dog.
Both sports often require equipment, costumes, recorded music (CD or USB) or props in order to perform the activities.
POLICY AIM.
To ensure that Melbourne & District Dances with Dogs Club can short term access to equipment, costumes, recorded music (CD or USB) and props to our members.
To ensure that members understand the policy for lending the above items.
LENDING POLICY.
RESPONSIBILITY OF CLUB MEMBERS.
All members should be aware of this policy and complete Appendix 1: Lending of equipment, costumes, recorded music or props.
Every person attending classes or other activities is responsible for ensuring that they understand and comply with this policy, and for supporting the aims of the Club and the Volunteers who run these classes and activities.

LENDING POLICY.
- Financial members may enquire with trainers or committee members as to whether required items may be available for loan.
- All items will remain the property of Melbourne & District DWD Club.
- At the completion of the term of the loan, the items must be returned to the same trainer or committee member within 4 weeks of the end of the requirement.
- Under normal circumstances, the term of the loan must not exceed 6 months. This will allow sufficient time for items to be used in the performance of each level of DWD or Tricks.
- This term may be extended, but only with agreement of the trainer or committee.
- The items must be returned in the same condition in which they were borrowed. This includes cleaning (in particular of costumes) or repair as required.
- If this policy is not complied with, this will be reported to the committee to decide further action.
